I’m Kellie Jennar
I love connecting people and making things happen.

About
I hate seeing anyone sitting alone, not sure what they should be doing, or if they belong. This is where my passion for connecting people comes from.
I love connecting people and making things happen.Storytelling and screen production helps me achieve these goals.
Writing, and producing films, tv, and other screen content allows you to create a visual story that can be watched by many simultaneously, forming a unique emotional connection. Humans crave connection, to know that other people have had similar experiences, and to know they are not alone.
Writing prose – short or long form – allows you to create a more intimate connection with the reader. I craft stories from my imagination, and the reader then consumes that story from the lens of their own life experience and imagination. Each reader will have a unique response to the words I have written.
I get a certain thrill out of producing and being a fixer. Using my local connections, initiative, and problem solving skills to help a production bring a story to life on time, and on budget is my kinda jam.
Building the Dubbo Region into a world class screen industry hub is a long running passion of mine. This is why I volunteer on average 10 hours a week to NFP Dubbo Filmmakers Inc., apply for grants to upskill local screen practitioners, and build regional capabilities and capacities.
I also volunteer for NFP Creative Assembly Central West NSW Inc., to bring together all the local creative and cultural individuals and organisations, helping them share who they are, what they create, and what they do with the community.
